ME 8038 - Computational Fluid Dynamics

Graduate - Spring 2023.

Topics: physical and mathematical foundations of computational fluid mechanics and heat transfer. Classification of partial differential equations and solution techniques. Solution methods for model equations, such as wave equation, heat equation, Laplace’s equation, and Burgers’ equation. Application of numerical methods to the governing equations of fluid mechanics and heat transfer.

Outreach activity to increase the interest of local girl scouts in Science, Technology and Engineering by creating and presenting stereo 3D flow simulation videos of flying and swimming animals.
